Hermit crab, created for the Environmental Learning Center to teach kids about crab adaptations.
Smew duck, created for the Vero Beach Theatre Guild's production of Beauty and the Beast, now being used in beginning birding lectures to demonstrate wing placement on ducks.
Barn owl, created for the Vero Beach Theatre Guild's production of Oklaholma, now being used in beginning birding lectures to demonstrate owl adaptation to human presence. This prop also demonstrates the concept of recycling objects, in this case it was made out paper mache (stale flour and newspaper) over a soda bottle, a piece of a cardboard box, and a butter container.

Palm warbler puppet. Created for my beginning birding presentation, used to show the tail-pumping behavior that helps identify the species.
I try to use humor to make keep my presentations interesting and effective. This prop also demonstrates the concept of recycling objects, in this case an actual turkey baster.
Spotted sea trout. Originally used for an interpretive dance prop, and later donated to the Environmental Learning Center.
Wood duck puppet, created for the Environmental Learning Center to teach kids about bird beaks. This puppet also demonstrates the concept of recycling objects, in this case it was made out of recycled clothing.
